The cost to paint a house varies tremendously from job to job. The price is variable based on surfaces to be painted, paint product and quality, and what you would like to include or exclude in the job. The easiest thing to do is simply get an FREE estimate completed with us. The process is simple and easy. Once we give you the estimate, the pricing for the job is set. Up front pricing all the way through. 

It is strongly advised by the Colour Craft team that you do not use interior paint on exterior surfaces. Interior paint simply does not have the same chemical properties, which are needed for protection and longevity against the outdoor elements, as exterior paint does. Furthermore, we won’t be able to warranty the work, which is not in anyone's best interest. 

The simple answer is that both types of paint are designed for different things. Exterior paint is engineered to withstand the exterior elements, interior paints have their own adhesive properties designed for the interior surfaces like drywall. 

This will depend on the type of paint. Some paints are designed for colder weather and faster dry times. As a general rule though, most paints and stains adhere well at 10 degrees celsius or higher (50 Fahrenheit).

Mid spring, summer, and early fall are great times to paint the exterior and allow the paint to cure and dry smoothly. This is when the temperature is ideal, temperature fluctuates the least, and rain is moderate. 

Totally depends on the job.  Residential jobs can take a few days, some commercial jobs can take a week or more.  Give us a call to get an estimate.  The process is simple and easy.  When we do an estimate, we calculate the length of the project down to the hour. Then we can give you a fairly accurate completion time. 

1.Figure out some ideas for colour designs you are interested in. Go for a drive and see what catches your eyes in the local area. 

2.During paint days, move any outdoor furniture that may be in the way for the team when they arrive.  

3.Move your vehicles into the garage, or onto the street.

We have a daily site cleanup checklist that we follow at the end of every single day, as well as our job close checklist, which includes you, the client, very happy :) 

We leave the property better than it was before we arrived

Yes. We have people on staff, as well as relationships with experienced professional carpenters. This needs to be done prior to prep and painting.  Often we can do this during the time we are establishing the colour scheme and washing the house. ​

**Note: We don’t provide whole-home siding replacements, only minor repairs**

Yes. We take a 20% deposit to get you scheduled in. The deposit is refundable if you cancel within 10 days of your scheduled date. We accept late cancelations with full refund as well, if we manage to fill your spot, which is usually the case. It is rare that we can’t give a full refund. Ask us about this during your on-site-estimate.

Short Answer: Yes. Give us a call and we can potentially gather all the required information over the phone and then go by and estimate the house on our own time.  

In general though we like to meet in person.

For smaller jobs, we are able to get all the details we need over the phone and then check out your home online or while you are not home we can go by your house. If that's the case we can call you afterwards to follow up and review the proposal and scheduling options over the phone. Call us!
